I am going to be answering some questions and telling you about my book Journey to Eureka.
where did the main character come from? What was there reason for going to the gold fields? My main character Llewelyn originally came from England where a man took him in and treated him like his own as he was on the streets. His mother Arianrhood and his uncle Gwydion were sentenced and couldn’t take him with them. Although his mother was not a very good person she was still his mother and Llewelyn missed her. So he ruffle migrated around the 1850s to Ballarat gold fields where they were.
What was the journey like how did they get there. He got there from a big ship with a lot of people who most died after the trip. It was ruff on the ship not much water, food and a small place to sleep. But he was actually treated a bit better then most because well a few reasons he had a ferret that scared away bugs from eating food, he knew different languages there for he could speak to each other and I must say he is a very likeable person.
How were people treated on the gold fields? Even though Llewelyn did not work on the gold fields he did have a brother who did. Llewelyn felt he needed to save his brother at one point as it got very ruff. But when he went to save him it was to late and they both found them self in the middle of a big fight. Miners against soldiers. They were both hurt but survived and soon got back to there normal life’s.
What is your book about? My book is about a boy named Llewelyn and he goes on a ship to the gold fields to go see his mum. But on the boat he made a new family and loved them more then his own mother because she wasn’t a very good person. Llewelyn soon finds himself in the middle of a fight when he tried to save his brother.
